Bioskop "Fontana"
Service types:
Description
The "Fontana" cinema, one of the cult spaces and the favorite cinema of the inhabitants of New Belgrade, was opened on Women's Day (2012), after more than 10 years.
Municipality of Novi Belgrade initiated the renovation with the intention of developing the Center for European and Children's Film through the activities of the Fontana cinema, as an educational segment of film art that is lacking in both New Belgrade and the City of Belgrade. Partners in the realization of the European and children's film program are the Center for Film Art "Art & Popcorn" and the Children's Film Festival "Kids Fest".
The renovated space of the Fontana cinema includes the latest display technology, which includes modern digital 3D projectors, but also a classic 35mm film projector.
Keeping the reputation of the old smuggler, the mainstream is never the first choice, this cinema is primarily a house of domestic and European film, and it pays special attention to achievements for children. In order to build a new audience base, the repertoire includes films that they have the opportunity to see only at festivals, and an insight into European cinematography is provided throughout the year. In addition to the regular cinema program, retrospectives of European cinemas are also organized, as well as European film festivals. The program also includes quality film content for children and youth.
